Finance Veteran and Valley Native Joins Firm
MCALLEN – B2B CFO has announced its expansion in the Rio Grande Valley with the addition of David Girault as partner.
Girault joins B2B CFO after several years as a business lawyer in private practice in McAllen, followed by a 14-year career in corporate finance. He is the 23rd B2B CFO partner in Texas providing CFO services to local business owners.
With more than 200 partners across the country, B2B CFO is the nation’s largest CFO services firm. The “1099 CFO” role is a hallmark of the firm that provides services exclusively to emerging and mid-market companies. Girault joined B2B CFO as a partner in October 2014. Girault’s clients benefit from his combination of executive finance, legal and international business experience supported by the depth of resources provided by the national firm. Girault is currently working with a diverse group of clients in the Rio Grande Valley.
Prior to joining B2B CFO, Girault served in several key senior financial and operations positions at various private organizations in the South Texas region. He has a background working with owners of many small and medium sized businesses from less than $1 million to over $100 million in sales. Girault’s previous experience includes transportation, warehousing, import/export, agriculture, commercial and residential development, retail, and wholesale distribution, with significant background in legal, tax and operational aspects of doing business in Mexico.
“We welcome David to the B2B CFO Partnership. In many ways he represents a snapshot of the organization: business experience and an entrepreneurial outlook, with deep roots in finance and strong connections in the community,” said Jerry L. Mills, founder of B2B CFO.
In his role as B2B CFO partner, Girault offers business owners of privately held growth-oriented businesses the opportunity to have an affordable trusted business advisor. Unlike a contract controller or interim CFO, a B2B CFO partner works to create a long-term professional relationship to help the company grow its profitability and cash flow.
“The Rio Grande Valley has an abundance of entrepreneurial companies with owners that are passionate about their products and services,” said Girault. “Like most business owners they are faced with financial challenges in this economy to increase cash, profitability, sales and company value. I’m proud to provide services to the business leaders of south Texas that creates financial and goal clarity to allow them to continue to expand in all areas of business, following our corporate motto of ‘Cash-We Help You Get It.’”
For the business owner, Girault brings a unique business perspective having served as a CEO, CFO and area developer, as well as beginning his career with Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez, the region’s preeminent commercial law firm. His previous roles have provided him with the unique experience of really knowing and understanding the needs of a business owner helping them to improve their cash flow, sales and profitability as their organization expands.
Girault earned his Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honors) in Business Administration, with an Accounting concentration from Trinity University and also attended The University of Texas School of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence. He also holds a certificate in Mexican Legal Studies from the University of Houston Law Center’s Mexican Legal Studies Program. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and currently serves as a board member of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation, the South Texas Manufacturers Association, and Leadership McAllen, having previously served as Chairman of the International Museum of Art and Science in McAllen.
Girault was raised in Los Fresnos, and has lived in McAllen for over 20 years. David’s wife, Tracy, is a registered pharmacist and is Pharmacy Manager with HEB. They have two daughters who attend McAllen High School and Morris Middle School.
